Be Honest With Yourself

I think these days, we tend to be delusional. Because of all the images that we see, we trick ourselves into a false sense of reality. We may workout and show our workouts on Instagram, but we aren’t showing the vodka we’re drinking when we get home at night, or the fact that we went through the drive thru a few hours after our workout… We aren’t showing that. But in order to see progress and success, we have to be REAL and HONEST with ourselves about our reality. Now I’m not saying that we have to broadcast every failure that happens to the world, but we have to be honest with ourselves in order to get the change that we desire. Before you can even really put a plan into action you have to really truly know where you are so that you can know what you need to do to get to where you want to be.

It’s like if you were planning a trip somewhere, you would have to be honest with yourself about your finances so you could see and know exactly what you had to do, to make your trip a reality.

No one wakes up and says, I want to struggle, I want to be broke, I want to be overweight and unhappy, I want to have a ton of negativity in my life. No one wakes up and says that! NO ONE! But before we can see some changes, we need to be honest with ourselves and say, you know what, I am struggling. You know what, I don’t have a lot of money right now. You know what, I don’t like how I look right now. You have to be honest. When I turn on social media, I see people just tricking themselves, like I love myself like this and that. But they know they don’t. I mean, I’ve done it. I’ve pretended to be happy or like I don't care, and deep down inside, it was driving me crazy or I was in reality truly unhappy. But the best advice in regards to this that I’ve received was to be honest with myself first.

So this is what I’m encouraging you all to do. To be honest with yourself. That’s the only way you’re going to see some results and be able to make changes. No, I’m not saying post every failure online, that’s depressing too. But I am saying be honest with yourself. Stop living in a state of delusion. Be honest with yourself. #SelfCare

You have over 300 days left to turn things around, that’s 300 days until the end of the year. And over 80 days until the best summer of your life, but it won’t be that if you aren’t honest with yourself and real with yourself and start making real changes to see real results.
