The More Unbothered You Act, The More Bothered You Are

We say it all the time, ‘#Unbothered’, ‘I don’t care what people think’, ‘it doesn’t matter to me’. But the truth of the matter is that those are all lies. We’re always so afraid for people to know and see our reality but the only person that we are often fooling is ourselves. Which honestly, is more detrimental. People are always telling me, ‘Oh Tahiry you’re so strong’, my team even tells me, ‘Tahiry don’t tell the people everything’. But the truth of the matter is, I can’t be fake. Why? Because I’ve come to learn that the most unbothered you act, the more bothered you are. One thing life has taught me is that your mental health is the most important and when you neglect it, the results can be life threatening.

You really can’t see any results of any work you’re doing if you don’t address what really is going on. That’s because you’ll be putting all of that work in, meanwhile, your results will be working against you. It’s so easy to just grab a bottle of vodka and down in or eat those cookies you love, but at the end of the day what good will that do for you? You may feel comforted while you’re eating it, but I guarantee you when you finish you’ll feel like shit. It’ll just set you back. You can avoid even taking that route if you address what is REALLY going on with your mental and ask yourself the real hard questions. Breakups are hard, work is stressful, life is unpredictable, but the one thing you can control is what you put in your mouth.

Remember that what you eat and do behind closed doors is what you wear out in the open. The most damage we do to ourselves is behind closed doors, when no one else is looking. And I’m sorry but it is pretty stupid to me to act sooooo unbothered in front of everyone, but then when you’re alone you are really going through it and putting yourself through so much worse. I’m not trying to beat you up, I’m just speaking from experience and being real. So instead of being ‘Unbothered’ address the issue. Whatever it is, because then you can truly experience what it means to even be unbothered.

The reason I created this ‘Level Yourself Up’ 4 Week challenge was to help others really make 2019 their year. You can only make it work for you though if you are handling the realities and the truths and doing something about the things about yourself that you don’t like. You can never truly care for someone else if you don’t care about yourself. Caring about yourself involves getting your health together and feeling and looking your best. This challenge that I have out is FREE! You don’t have to purchase any products, you don’t have to buy any plans, it’s just FREE!! All you have to do is follow me and @FitEmFitness. January is during the winter and the winter can actually be the toughest time to kick bad habits and jump start with the positive. During the winter months, it’s kinda hard to be focused. I get it. Around this time a lot of us get seasonal depression and that’s when we start packing on the pounds. We’re not out as much, we’re not being active and the sun is practically non existent. That combination a lone will make you depressed and keep you from tackling your goals. Luckily, I’ve done some research and I know at least 3 things you can do TODAY to beat feeling down during the season and stop ACTING unbothered. Just today alone you can:

  1. Get some B12 in your system.

    - You can find B12 supplements at your local pharmacy or even stores like Target. Just take it as directed on the bottle. B12 has been proven to increase your energy. The more energy you have, the more you are likely to get up, get out and do something. The more you’re out and about and being active, the less unbothered you truly are. There are also medical spas out there that offer B12 shots. They say it can help with weight loss, but I’m not too sure of that so I won’t make any claims of seeing that.

  2. Buy some Vitamin D

    - In the winter time, the sun is NOT shining like it usually does. We actually need that sunshine to thrive, be healthy and feel good. Without it, we’re feeling down. Well chances are, unless you live somewhere where its always 70 degrees and sunny, you’re probably deficient of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is a mood vitamin and will help your mood. The better your mood the more you’re able to actually feel better and you won’t even think to say #Unbothered because you’re feeling better. And the better you feel, the better choices you make. If you feel better you’re more likely to make healthier food choices and get your butt moving.

  3. Workout

    - Yes, it’s as simple as that. No one ever has said their mood is worse after a workout. That’s why I like to workout in the mornings. It gets my day started on the right foot, gives me energy and really makes my mood much better. It helps me to feel like nothing can stop me. The gym can be where you can really work through your problems and leave it all in there. It works.

So I say all this to say that the next time you decide to make a post saying how unbothered you are about a situation or you go to tell your friends, ‘I’m so unbothered by that’, and you know deep down in side that you are so far from being unbothered its crazy, re-think it. Actually talk to them and address the issues within yourself and always do mental checks. It’s all about self love!!

It’s not too late to join my challenge to help you get to where you want and need to be! Check out the previous post for more details if you haven’t already.
