Tips To Stay Fit Over The Holidays
Like all women, it's a constant fight to stay at a weight that I'm comfortable at. It's not rocket science either, to get the body you desire you must 1.) drink water 2.) eat healthy (think 80/20) and 3.) exercise.
This is no different during the holidays. But I'm happy to share with you some of my tips to fight the bulge over the holidays.
1.) Keep drinking your water, even when you're out drinking with friends.
Yes its cool to drink all the great holiday drinks at the party, I mean how often do you get to enjoy spiked egg nog? But, its equally cool to drink water. For every drink you have, try to have a cup/glass/bottle of water... Not only will it help you keep your water intake up, but it'll also make you full so you're less likely to overeat and drink.
2.) Eat before you party
The holiday parties are in an abundance this time of year and we all know the drinks and food will be flowing which makes it hard to say no. But try to be a step ahead of the game. Try to eat your normal healthy meal before you head out to the parties. By doing this, you'll be less likely to indulge in ALL of the unhealthy foods available at the party.
3.) Exercise early in the day
This is definitely easier said than done, but trust me, you'll be happy that you did it. Before you head out for the day, try to get your workout in. By doing this, it'll already be behind you and you can truly enjoy the day... guilt free!
