New Year, New You Gift Guide
2017 is right around the corner and we have a long laundry list of resolutions and goals. Here's my guide to getting ready for 2017 and making it your best year yet with some gifts you can get yourself or a friend that you know wants a fresh start!
1. Beauty Products!!!
One thing we should always be improving is self care, how we present ourselves to the world should matter. When we look better, we feel better. It's simple! If you're on a budget, the quickest upgrade you can make to yourself is using a cute lipstick. Try something new. I plan on trying out one of the Celfie Cosmetics lipsticks.
2. Keep those nails together with new polish...
If you know me, Tahiry, you know that I LOVE nail polish. Polish can take your hands from blah to fabulous. Gift yourself a complete set or if you're saving up for something and plan on budgeting your funds, just try a new color, a color you've yet to try. I actually have a nail polish line with some pretty cool colors with Color Club, that change based upon your body temperature, making the colors unique to you!
3. Positive Affirmations EVERYWHERE...
They say the best way to be the best version of yourself is to keep your goals and visions for yourself visible and to use positive affirmations. Why not WEAR your positivity. Your clothing is a direct reflection of YOU, so why not wear what you truly believe. I know that at the end of the day, I got me, even when no one else does, and you should have you! Why not gift yourself the daily reminder with Served Fresh merchandise. An 'I Got Me' t-shirt or dad hat may be that pick me up and reminder that you need to keep going on those days you're having a rough time.
4. New Style
The new year provides new opportunities and one of those opportunities would be an opportunity to try something new! Why not try something out of the ordinary for you. Maybe you aren't necessarily a heel girl or you never wear hats. Pick up a pair of heels and wear them to work, try a new look. If heels seem like too much of a commitment, start out simple with wearing a hat like the Tomboy Hats. They're street yet chic and could be the key piece to the new look you've been dying to try.
5. Invest in a Statement Piece, a Trademark
We live in a world of social media, instant gratification and BRANDING! So why not brand yourself. Pick something that you like and that makes you stand out and invest in it, gift yourself that thing. Maybe it's wearing a certain lipstick color, hair color or something like wearing sunglasses. But make sure that it's AUTHENTIC. Try out a pair of custom sunglasses from a company like Visual Grammar, maybe you'll find thats your statement piece.
